Filter Cleaning & Service in Los Angeles

A dirty filter starves circulation, strains the pump and makes chemistry impossible to hold. We break the tank down, deep clean or replace the media, and verify clean-start pressure so you know what "normal" looks like.

Our process

How the work gets done

  1. 1

    Pressure check

We record current pressure against the clean baseline to confirm service is due.

  2. 2

    Breakdown

Tank is opened, grids or cartridges removed and inspected for tears and wear.

  3. 3

    Deep clean

Elements are cleaned and, when needed, acid-soaked; sand media is replaced.

  4. 4

    Reassemble and test

New lubrication, sealed tank, restart, air purge and a new baseline reading.

Pricing: every pool is quoted individually based on size, condition and equipment. We publish no fake "starting at" figures — you get a written flat-rate quote before any work begins.

FAQ

Filter Cleaning & Service questions

How often should filters be cleaned?

DE and cartridge filters typically need service two to three times per season; sand filters need media replacement every 4–6 years.

Can I just backwash instead?

Backwashing helps between services but never removes oils and fine debris embedded in grids or cartridges. Those require a breakdown clean.

How long do cartridges last?

Generally 2–3 seasons with proper cleaning. We will tell you when the pleats are done rather than selling you new ones early.
